A Short History
Pastry Chef, Vanessa Rousseau Richardson, has many years experience in the Hospitality and Catering Industry.
Having grown up in South Africa, she had an early introduction into Sugar Craft and Pâtisserie, as her mother taught her from a young age as she assisted in their catering business. They specialised in fine baked tarts & cakes. They also designed and created beautifully Sugar Crafted Wedding & Celebration cakes.
She re-located to the UK in 1998. Studying for a Catering Qualification, she attended Clarendon College in Nottingham and also worked for one of the top Boutique Hotels in The Park, Nottingham, as a Chef & Pastry Chef. She moved to Cornwall in 2004 and started a Professional Events catering service and also provided Bespoke Pâtisserie & Savoury Dishes to Private Individuals and restaurants.
She attended Rick Stein's Seafood School in Padstow. She delivered live food demonstrations at events and fesitivals all over Cornwall during this time. She also catered for some Major events in Cornwall including The Discovery Channel event at Pendennis Castle in Falmouth, Tavistock Food & drink Festival,
Boconnoc House Fayre, Trelissic gardens, Falmouth Oyster festival, Looe Festival of the Sea, Mount Edgecomb House, Saltrum House, Events on The Piazza, Truro and many more. From 2005 she managed her own restaurants in Cornwall . . . . . . . . Now serving Hampshire, Dorset, New Forest, Isle of Wight
